darrylshort.com goes live
Welcome to the start of my new website. The original concept of darrylshort.com started while sitting at my desk between Christmas and New Year. Typically a time for catching up, I liked the American idea of sending out newsletters to keep friends and family updated of the year's events. We all wish we could spare more time to keep everyone updated by email. The solution appeared to be a simple website, updated through the year, to help friends stay in touch with the goings on of in the Short household. Thirty minutes later darrylshort.com had gone from an idea to a registered domain name.
So over the year I expect to add snippets of news, photos and reports, together with hopefully amusing comment on life's daily challenges of work, with its long distance commuting, and my social life. The latter very topical at the moment, as some of you may be aware I recently joined an internet dating site. Initially cynical, it shows how today we all easily accept a medium, which was unheard of the last time I was dating. In fact as I write this I have just been dumped by text message, yet another first in my dating life!
I hope you find it entertaining.
Please feel free to send any comments or news you may have.
